The Mosher history in the business of home beautification started in the mid-1940s with Sid Mosher. Sid served on the Battleship South Dakota in the Pacific theatre during World War II, and was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1945. After his military days, he purchased Donaghu Greenhouses on Kellogg Street in Sioux City, Iowa. He, along with his wife, Margaret, had 8 children, 5 sons and 3 daughters. All family members were involved in the business during their formidable years.

In 1976, with vast experience at his disposal, Paul, the oldest son, opened Mosher Garden Center in Leeds, with his wife Mary. The two of them enjoyed raising 3 sons; Sid, Matt, and Luke, while growing their Garden Center & Landscaping business.
In the 1990’s, Sid and Matt joined the operation upon graduating from school. For the last 25 years, the Mosher business has expanded from Garden Center operations, to both commercial and residential landscape design and installation. Along with landscaping we also offer full service property maintenance as well as both residential and commercial snow removal and ice melt services.
